These Tournament Series Admiral pliers were designed for the everyday angler and have a corrosion resistant anodized coating and are then top-coated with a rubberized paint for comfort and slip resistance. They also feature replaceable tungsten-carbide cutters for braided line, fluorocarbon and monofilament. Packaged together with a 36” coiled lanyard with a snap clip and a 180° swiveling rubber sheath with a belt clip.

The Tungsten Carbide side cutters are extremely sharp and I've been using for years!! The non slip coating they put on has been a solid feature as well. Best pliers

I carry a couple pliers in my fish bag and on my boat. These are my new go to. Love the handles and the sheath. Work great in saltwater. For the money you can't beat these pliers !

Same size, same shape as the Dr. Slick Squall pliers. Fit very well in my custom leather Grizzly Saddlery. Has a different pivot joint shape and type but probably doesn't matter. I'm sure it'll last quite awhile being used in fresh water only, need solid pliers to pull fly hooks out of Carp, Goldeye and Catfish mouths....

I am a freshwater fly fisherman. Why carry pliers, ever try to pull a deeply embedded hook from a Carp or Catfish?? Nuff said!! I have carried the assorted Dr. Slick pliers for many years and they were ok except for the garbage sheath they include. I usually go to a local saddlery and have them make me a good one. So far I like them; no wobble to the jaws/handles, spring g pops them open fast, nice rubber coating, very nice lanyard. I depend on the lanyard, when I go to unhook a Carp and it decides to go for another run I can just drop the pliers and they'll be there when I need them. The belt clip sheath is better then the Dr. Slick ones but I still had a leather one made. I'll be fishing soon I hope and I'm sure they'll work just fine. From what I can see the Danco and Dr. Slick pliers come from the same Chinese manufacturing plant.
